Business Development Manager, Retail Self-Service Technology
Who we are
Our exclusive client is part of a multi-billion dollar Coproration, who are expanding their business operations in the UK and their focus is on building their retail self-service checkout business. This is an opportunity to join their UK and European journey at the start, to help define the strategy and build a network of partners to market, sell and support the products in the field.
They specialise in the sale of ATM/TCR and Self-Service Checkout (SCO) solutions globally and in the UK and have a well-established business selling ATM hardware and software to banks through partner channels. This role is to expand that capability within the Retail and Hospitality sectors selling their range of Self-Check Out (SCO) and automation technology.
Role and Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients, industry trends and to map the competitive landscape.
Analyse retail market dynamics and leverage industry expertise to drive strategic business decisions.
Leverage a proven history of successful client acquisition to identify and approach key stakeholders.
Cultivate and maintain enduring relationships with industry leaders, demonstrating a keen understanding of their unique business needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions based on an in-depth understanding of client requirements.
Demonstrate and exemplary track record in creating and executing effective sales strategies that consistently surpass revenue targets.
Deliver compelling and persuasive product presentations and demonstrations to clients.
Showcase a history of skilled negotiation resulting in the successful closure of complex sales agreements.
Demonstrate expertise in maintaining a robust and dynamic sales pipeline, consistently identifying and pursuing new high-value leads.
Collaborate seamlessly with the marketing team to develop impactful promotional materials and campaigns.
Act as liaison between clients and product development teams, providing invaluable market feedback to contribute to product enhancements.
Who you are
Proven demonstrable success in business development and sales within the retail technology or related industries.
Exceptional understanding of retail operations and a keen awareness of technology trends.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
Proven ability to build and sustain effective relationships with clients and partners.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on consistently exceeding sales targets.
Familiarity with self-checkout machines and retail automation is a significant advantage.
Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
