Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician (Day Shift)
Overview
A leading semiconductor manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician to support day-shift operations in a high-volume wafer fabrication environment. This position is well suited to a technically capable, adaptable individual who can respond effectively to changing priorities and is motivated to grow their expertise within the semiconductor industry.
This is a non-exempt role operating on a compressed workweek schedule, day shift (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.). The position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires regular work in a cleanroom environment, including the use of cleanroom garments, personal protective equipment (PPE), and potential exposure to hazardous processing materials.
Key Responsibilities

Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment

Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to effectively prioritize maintenance activities and minimize production impact

Partner with peers, supervisors, and engineering teams to investigate equipment failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions that improve tool availability and performance

Coordinate with vendors, field service engineers, and technical representatives; participate in training sessions and vendor-led courses as required

Participate in shift handover meetings and clearly communicate equipment status, completed work, and outstanding issues

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance and repair activities
Qualifications

Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience required (exceptions may be considered for highly experienced industry technicians)

Minimum of two years of hands-on equipment maintenance experience in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment, including photolithography

Experience performing photo MT replacement; familiarity with TEL ACT8 and C&D track systems strongly preferred

Direct experience maintaining wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment

Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting capabilities

Proven ability to collaborate effectively, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support standardized maintenance practices

Solid professional soft skills with excellent written and verbal communication; fluency in English required

Comfortable using computer systems with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities in a production-focused environment

Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and hands-on approach to problem-solving

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting
Physical & Safety Requirements

Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12 hours per shift

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

Capability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting during equipment maintenance

Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE when working around hazardous materials

Commitment to strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures
Preferred Tool Experience
While candidates with experience across multiple equipment platforms are encouraged to apply, priority consideration will be given to technicians with photolithography equipment experience, particularly those familiar with TEL ACT8 and C&D track systems.
