Computing Commodity Manager – Asia (China Focus)

We are partnering with a fast-growing organisation in the global technology supply chain to recruit an experienced Computing Commodity Manager based in Asia, with a strong focus on China.

This role will play a critical part in building and expanding a supplier network across Asia to support a dynamic broker-led trading model. The successful candidate will bring deep market knowledge and strong supplier relationships across key computing components including Memory, CPUs, GPUs, and SSDs.

You will act as the regional expert for these commodities, identifying supply opportunities, developing supplier partnerships, and providing valuable market insight to commercial teams.


The Role

As Computing Commodity Manager, you will:

• Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers across Asia, with a focus on China-based manufacturers, OEMs, ODMs, and distributors
• Build and maintain a strong supplier pipeline across Memory (DRAM & NAND), CPUs, GPUs, and SSDs
• Conduct supplier assessments covering quality, reliability, pricing, capacity, and risk
• Negotiate commercial terms and supply agreements aligned with a broker-driven sourcing model
• Monitor pricing trends, supply/demand dynamics, and product lifecycle developments across computing components
• Provide market intelligence and insights to internal commercial teams
• Support opportunity identification across spot, excess, and strategic supply channels
• Leverage existing industry relationships to accelerate supplier engagement and sourcing opportunities
• Represent the organisation during supplier meetings, factory visits, and industry events
• Work closely with sales, trading, and operations teams to support deal execution and sourcing strategies


What We’re Looking For

• 5–10+ years’ experience in commodity management, sourcing, procurement, or brokering within the computing or semiconductor industry
• Proven experience developing supplier networks across Asia, particularly China
• Strong product knowledge across Memory, CPUs, GPUs, and SSDs
• Experience operating within a broker, distributor, or trading environment is highly desirable
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and commercial skills
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, market-driven environments


Regional Requirements

• Established supplier network across Asia
• Strong understanding of regional business practices and supplier ecosystems
• Mandarin highly preferred, with strong English communication skills


Additional Information

• Location: Asia-based (China preferred)
• Travel: Frequent travel across the region to develop supplier relationships
• Focus: Supplier development, market intelligence, and computing commodity sourcing
