We are partnering with a global technology and supply chain solutions business to appoint a Global Commodity Manager with deep expertise in Integrated Circuits (ICs) and PCBA board-level components.
This is a senior, globally influential role responsible for shaping and executing worldwide sourcing strategy for critical A-commodities, building executive-level supplier partnerships, and supporting strategic customer engagements across international markets.
The Role
As Global Commodity Manager, you will act as a strategic leader across Sales and Sourcing, owning global commodity strategy while serving as a trusted subject-matter expert to senior leadership, customers, and suppliers.
You will:

Lead global sourcing strategy for ICs and PCBA/BLC commodities

Build and manage executive-level supplier relationships to secure supply continuity and competitive pricing

Represent the business in key customer meetings, supplier negotiations, and international trade events

Provide market intelligence, pricing insight, and risk analysis to guide commercial decision-making

Partner closely with Sales to unlock new opportunities, optimise margins, and support deal execution

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Supplier & Customer Engagement

Develop long-term partnerships with key global suppliers

Conduct regular supplier and customer visits across regions

Support strategic customer engagements alongside senior leadership

Negotiate agreements that provide competitive advantage across pricing, supply, and support
Market Intelligence & Sourcing Strategy

Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligned to technology trends and supply chain dynamics

Monitor global pricing, availability, geopolitical risk, and market shifts

Deliver quarterly executive-level market updates and insights

Act as global subject-matter expert for assigned commodities
Commercial & Sales Enablement

Partner with Sales and Sourcing teams to identify new revenue opportunities

Analyse customer demand, BOMs, and market data to drive proactive sales activity

Support pricing strategy and margin optimisation
Reporting & Analytics

Deliver regular market reports, pricing updates, and commodity reviews

Present insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams

Contribute to executive dashboards and market forecasting
Operational Guidance & Enablement

Provide guidance on best practices in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management

Design and deliver training for global Sales and Sourcing teams

Ensure adherence to global procurement, quality, and ethical standards
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 5 years’ experience within the electronic components industry

Strong expertise in ICs and PCBA / board-level components
-
Proven global supplier relationships (manufacturers, franchise distributors, or equivalent)

Deep understanding of commodity markets, pricing dynamics, and supply chain risk
-
Strong commercial, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to influence senior stakeholders across regions and functions
-
Fluency in Mandarin and English (essential)

Based in Singapore (or open to China or Taiwan for the right profile)
