My client are a market leader in EDA design tools and are looking for a Software Engineer
EDA Software Development Engineer – System-on-Chip Integration
Join a team at the forefront of modern electronic design, contributing to the tools that support the development of the most advanced System-on-Chips (SoCs) used in smartphones, electric vehicles, smart TVs, satellites, datacenters, and more.
This position is part of a specialized group focused on Electronic Design Automation (EDA), particularly in the assembly and integration of complex SoC architectures.
Key Responsibilities

Implement software specifications for EDA tools, with a focus on scalability, modularity, robustness, and performance optimization.

Design and maintain tools for assembling and integrating hardware IP blocks, interconnects, power domains, and clock structures.

Build scalable, efficient, and maintainable software modules tailored to semiconductor design workflows.

Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize software to meet the demands of large-scale SoC design.

Document developed modules clearly and thoroughly.

Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure alignment between software tools and SoC integration requirements.

Stay up-to-date with developments in semiconductor design, EDA technologies, and modern software engineering practices.

Work within an agile Kanban flow and utilize project tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Education
Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years of professional experience as a software development engineer in EDA or a related field.
Proven track record of designing and building software modules for SoC assembly or verification.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
Strong foundation in software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
Experience with RTL design and verification languages (VHDL, Verilog, SystemC, SystemVerilog).
Familiarity with the XML IP-XACT standard is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and a results-driven approach.
