We are partnering with a global organisation within the electronic components distribution sector to recruit a Buyer based in Singapore.

This role sits at the centre of a fast-moving procurement and sourcing environment, responsible for identifying suppliers, securing product availability, and supporting commercial teams with timely purchasing solutions. The position requires strong sourcing capability, supplier relationship management, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, transaction-driven market.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing experience in semiconductors or electronic components who enjoys working in a fast-paced, global trading environment.

The Role

As Buyer, you will:

• Source electronic components by identifying and engaging new suppliers while managing existing relationships
• Locate vendors of materials, equipment, and supplies, and assess availability, pricing, and commercial terms
• Maintain accurate records of orders, goods received, and supplier transactions
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders
• Review purchase order terms and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Collaborate closely with sales and account teams through internal systems to support customer demand and sourcing opportunities
• Actively bring forward market opportunities and product offers for resale
• Support wider business needs and ad hoc procurement requirements as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in purchasing or procurement within manufacturing or supply chain environments
• Experience within semiconductor or electronic components industries strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of sourcing processes and supplier management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, transactional trading environment
• Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Skills & Tools

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing tasks simultaneously
• Comfortable working within structured systems and ERP environments

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in any discipline (supply chain, engineering, or business preferred)
