Electrical Data Centre Technician

Location: Frankfurt Region, Germany
Employment Type: Full-Time | Shift-Based Operations

A leading global provider of mission-critical infrastructure and data centre services is seeking an Electrical Data Centre Technician to support operations across hyperscale and enterprise data centre environments in the Frankfurt region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an on-site technical contact for data centre operations teams and customers
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of critical electrical infrastructure and associated systems
  • Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all site equipment
  • Monitor and track maintenance activities using a CMMS platform
  • Complete service requests in line with agreed SLAs and operational standards
  • Carry out installation, maintenance, and modification of electrical systems and cabling infrastructure
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors while ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and operational requirements
  • Conduct routine inspections, daily rounds, and technical checks across the facility
  • Identify operational, technical, or health & safety risks and escalate appropriately
  • Produce detailed shift handover reports and maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in a rotating shift schedule and support operational management as required

Requirements

  • Completed training/apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, Refrigeration, or a related technical discipline
  • Previous experience within critical facilities, industrial environments, or data centres preferred
  • Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and general PC skills
  • Understanding of electrical infrastructure and fault-finding processes
  • PLC/controls knowledge would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset
  • Fluent German and good English communication skills, both written and verbal
