The Role

You will be responsible for delivering creative, compliant and commercially viable lighting designs, working closely with customers, consultants, contractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying design risks, specification gaps and cost implications.

  • Supporting continuous improvement and providing guidance to junior designers where required.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • 2–5 years' experience in lighting design, ideally within a commercial or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in Relux or DIALux and CAD.

  • Strong knowledge of lighting principles, controls and emergency lighting.

  • Good understanding of UK lighting standards (BS, CIBSE and Part L).

  • Ability to interpret architectural, MEP and consultant drawings.

  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • A commercially aware, detail-oriented and proactive approach.

Desirable: LIA accreditation, Revit/BIM experience and knowledge of lighting controls.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lighting Design Engineer to join an established organisation and develop their technical and commercial expertise.
