Solution Architect | MRL Consulting

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology consultancy specialising in low-code and AI-enabled solutions. The Solution Architect will play a pivotal role in designing, overseeing, and delivering robust, scalable, and secure enterprise applications on the OutSystems platform while embedding responsible AI and automation capabilities.

The Role
The Solution Architect acts as a bridge between business and technology, defining solution architectures, leading technical design sessions, and providing oversight throughout the delivery lifecycle. You will contribute to innovative AI integrations, enterprise-grade system design, and reusable architectural patterns to ensure high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document high-level and detailed solution architectures for OutSystems applications.

• Lead technical discovery and design workshops with clients and internal teams.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams across multiple projects.

• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with best practices.

• Integrate AI and automation capabilities into client solutions in line with responsible AI principles.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and AI Specialists to translate requirements into architecture specifications.

• Oversee sprint cycles, technical deliverables, and ensure architectural integrity is maintained.

• Maintain compliance with security, privacy, accessibility, and data-protection standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, WCAG AA).

• Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and R&D initiatives.

Skills & Experience
Essential:

• 5+ years of solution or technical architecture experience, ideally in low-code or OutSystems environments.

• Strong understanding of OutSystems architecture, APIs, integrations, and deployment models.

• Proven experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions.

• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable:

• Certified OutSystems Professional or Expert Architect.

• Experience integrating AI or automation capabilities into enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Awareness of AI governance frameworks (ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF).

• Experience with data modelling, event-driven architectures, or microservices.
