We are currently seeking a talented Satellite Systems Manager. In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing our satellite engineering function, ensuring the seamless operation of a satellite fleet.
- Oversight of satellite engineering for approximately 20 satellites
- Leadership of a team of technical satellite systems engineers
- Coordination of real-time responses to in-orbit anomalies
- Collaboration with Mission Assurance to define and implement concept of operations
- Development and implementation of tools and processes to enhance operational safety and capacity
- Leadership responsibilities including team management and goal setting
- Coordination with satellite manufacturers and customers for failure reviews and operational activities
- Support for management-level discussions with external customers and business development efforts
- Representation of Satellite Engineering in internal and external forums
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in satellite design or operations engineering
- Strong proficiency in all satellite subsystems
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Advanced degree or MBA
- Previous management or supervisory experience
- Specific fleet bus and spacecraft design or operational knowledge
