Business Analyst – Budapest, Hungary (Hybrid)

A globally operating organisation in a fast-moving, technology-led sector is looking to add a Business Analyst to its IT team, working on a hybrid basis from Budapest. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to projects that improve systems, processes and data visibility across an international business environment.

In this role, you will act as a key link between business teams and technical specialists, helping to translate operational requirements into effective technology solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, analyse processes and support the delivery of initiatives that enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements from internal stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for development and technical teams
  • Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings and discussions to capture requirements and align stakeholders
  • Create documentation such as process maps, use cases and Business Requirement Documents
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers and QA teams throughout project delivery
  • Conduct data analysis to support operational insights and decision-making
  • Support system testing, validation and implementation of new solutions or system enhancements
  • Track project progress and ensure outcomes align with defined business objectives
  • Contribute to initiatives impacting core operational processes including order management and procurement workflows

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Around 3+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience gathering, documenting and managing business requirements
  • Familiarity with business process modelling and analysis methodologies
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with SQL or Power BI
