Payments Pre-Sales Support Analyst

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and driven Pre-Sales professional to join a global, innovative, technology vendor to help drive sales across both the software licensing and processing services lines of business.


The successful candidate will be a key contributor during sales engagements, supporting the functional and technical aspects of the sales process and ensuring that the proposed solutions align product capabilities with customer requirements. This position reports directly to the Associate Vice President, Market Development & Business Analytics The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Support sales managers in order to effectively turn leads into successful sales, by best representing the Company, our values, our products and services, our knowledge and experience as payments experts
  • Discover and qualify business alignment and technical fit between customer requirements and company products and services
  • Develop, prepare and deliver engaging product and solution presentations to potential and/or existing customers that articulate the company’s capacity to meet their specific requirements
  • Create and perform demonstrations of functional product capabilities and answer any resulting questions with the audiences’ objectives in mind
  • Drive high levels of engagement and build rapport through discovery sessions and all other interactions with current and prospective customers
  • Prepare commercial proposals and RFP responses for existing and/or potential customers that reflect the Company’s ability to meet their business and technical requirements; demonstrating a cultural match in terms of roadmap, vision and strategy
  • Make suggestions for the improvement and functionality extension of the company’s product and services portfolio based on customer and prospect feedback, your experience and knowledge of the competitive market landscape
  • Get involved in internal presales activities, such as assisting with the creation of product/solution packages, as and when required
  • Make suggestions for the improvement of business processes, materials and established working procedures in order to increase efficiency
  • Attend, participate in, and represent the Company at internal and external, national and international exhibitions and events when required
  • Write and publish pre-sale related materials on the company’s internal portal
  • Continuously enrich and extend your knowledge of industry and market trends


  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working as a presales expert in the payments technology industry
  • 5+ years’ experience working in the capacity of presales/sales support Experience of working with a global competitor (ACI, BPC, OpenWay, TSYS, Global payments, etc.) or other relevant payment industry players
  • Experience of working with card schemes (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, etc.)
  • Experience of working at a financial service provider (e.g. retail bank)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Effective communicator at all levels from technical to business facing
  • Experience gathering and understanding customer business requirements
  • A desire to constantly learn new technologies and stay abreast of industry trends
  • Ability to work as part of a global team
