IDENTITY & ACCESS MANAGEMENT (IAM) ENGINEER

Our client is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join their Group IT Security team in a critical technical role focused on strengthening and optimising identity governance and access management capabilities across the organisation.
This position will act as the technical Subject Matter Expert for IAM, responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing identity governance frameworks to support security, compliance, and operational efficiency across a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and configure sustainable capabilities within the organisation’s Identity Governance platform to ensure secure and efficient access control across enterprise applications and resources
  • Conduct technical assessments of identity and access systems, identifying security gaps and recommending improvements
  • Design and execute integrations for Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity lifecycle management
  • Design and implement Privileged Access Management (PAM) capabilities
  • Support the implementation of Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-Enough-Access (JEA) principles
  • Develop and maintain IAM-related technical documentation, processes, and configurations
  • Troubleshoot complex identity and access management issues
  • Develop scripted solutions to support identity management processes
  • Respond to audit findings and implement remediation measures
  • Support implementation of identity-related security policies and standards
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, and Application teams to enhance IAM solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives
Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in IGA/IDAM development within an enterprise environment
  • Strong technical experience with one or more of the following:
    • Saviynt EIC (preferred), SailPoint, or Okta
    • CyberArk
    • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Strong scripting capability, particularly PowerShell
  • Experience with API integrations for identity management
  • Strong understanding of SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
  • Solid understanding of identity protocols, security frameworks, and IAM best practices
  • Experience with identity lifecycle automation tools
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to IAM and security compliance
  • Knowledge of identity best practice within OT/ICS environments
Qualifications
  • Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline highly regarded
  • Relevant professional certifications preferred, such as:
    • Saviynt Certified Advanced IGA Professional
    • SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer / Identity Security Architect
    • ISC2 CC
    • CompTIA Security+
