In collaboration with the technical units, our Business Development team shapes supplier strategy, develops new business offerings, and prepares value proposals. Currently, we seek a Senior Business Developer to manage a portfolio of companies within the Equipment and Materials segment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the strategy for a portfolio of equipment and material suppliers, aligning closely with technical units.
- Identify market trends, map R&D roadmaps to market needs, and identify collaboration opportunities.
- Build long-term forecasts and business cases to support investment decisions.
- Define go-to-market strategies and prepare value proposals in collaboration with technical units.
- Manage partnership strategy, fostering relationships with customers and identifying growth opportunities.
- Serve as the primary business contact, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any issues.
- Close business deals to secure access to advanced equipment and materials and grow revenues.
- Interface between customers and imec, translating feedback into actions and opportunities.
- Represent imec in customer meetings, trade shows, and exhibitions.

Requirements:
- Master’s degree in engineering or exact sciences, preferably with a focus on electronics, physics, or material science.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, product management, or product marketing.
- Strong affinity with the semiconductor industry ecosystem, particularly equipment and material suppliers.
- Ambition to develop strategy and take ownership of business portfolio.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent in English; other languages are an asset.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and technical conferences (10-20%).
- Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
