Advanced Mixed-Signal ASICs for Space Applications
Full-Time | Senior Leadership Role

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a pioneering organisation at the forefront of space and semiconductor innovation. They are seeking an experienced ASIC Product Manager / Architect to lead the definition and architecture of next-generation mixed-signal ASICs designed for deployment in space.

This role sits at the intersection of deep technical architecture and long-term product strategy. It will suit a semiconductor professional who has both shaped complex ASICs at architecture level and influenced product direction in highly technical markets.

If you are passionate about digital beamforming, modem architectures, and building space-grade silicon that truly differentiates in performance and resilience — this is an opportunity to have real impact.

The Role

You will own the vision and architecture of advanced mixed-signal ASIC products — from roadmap definition through to development and commercialisation. Acting as the product design authority, you will translate market needs, customer requirements, and corporate strategy into technically robust, commercially viable silicon solutions.

This is not just a roadmap role, and not just an architecture role — it is a combination of both.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and own the ASIC roadmap, product vision, and long-term strategy

  • Translate customer needs, competitive insights, and market trends into clear product requirements

  • Conduct market assessments and technology trend analysis to shape future products

  • Present and defend product strategy to internal stakeholders and external customers

  • Contribute to corporate growth strategy and annual R&D planning

Architecture Leadership

  • Define the architecture of large-scale mixed-signal ASICs for space applications

  • Serve as the technical design authority within development teams

  • Guide execution teams with clear architectural intent and trade-off decisions

  • Ensure alignment between system requirements, silicon capability, and integration into final products

Technology & Innovation

  • Identify and propose forward-looking R&D initiatives

  • Lead or support external funding proposals for product development

  • Drive innovation and ensure new IP is identified, captured, and strategically managed

  • Help shape the organisation’s long-term IP strategy

Collaboration & Culture

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and commercial teams

  • Support geographically distributed teams

  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, curiosity, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

You are likely a senior semiconductor professional with significant experience architecting complex ASICs and influencing product direction.

Essential Experience

  • 15+ years in mixed-signal ASIC architecture and/or semiconductor product leadership

  • Proven track record of defining, developing, and commercialising large-scale mixed-signal ASICs

  • Deep expertise in:

    • Phased array systems and digital beamforming

    • Modem architectures (modulation/demodulation, coding/decoding)

    • Packet routing and high-performance data paths

    • CPUs, GPUs, and high-speed digital interfaces

  • Strong understanding of:

    • RTL design and digital IP integration

    • Verification, hardware emulation, and DFT

    • Physical implementation flows

    • Mixed-signal components such as high-speed ADC/DAC, PLLs, SERDES

  • Experience with radiation-hardened design techniques is advantageous

Personal Profile

  • Technically credible and comfortable engaging at deep architectural level

  • Strategically minded, able to balance innovation with commercial realities

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capability

  • Experienced working in complex, international engineering environments

  • Naturally collaborative, with the ability to influence across disciplines

Why This Role?

This is a rare opportunity to shape space-grade silicon at architectural level while directly influencing product strategy and long-term technology direction.

You will have genuine ownership — not just of a feature set, but of the vision and future of a product family operating at the cutting edge of mixed-signal semiconductor design.
