Business Development Manager – Electronic Components

We are partnering with a global organisation within the electronic components supply chain to recruit a Business Development Manager based in South Korea.
This is a senior commercial role responsible for driving strategic customer acquisition and revenue growth across the APAC region. The successful candidate will take ownership of building and expanding a strong customer pipeline, representing the business at a senior level, and developing long-term partnerships within high-reliability electronics markets.
This role requires a highly experienced, commercially driven professional with a strong network in franchised or independent distribution, or supplier-side electronics sales, and a proven ability to operate across complex international markets.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will:
• Drive profitable revenue growth across assigned APAC territories and vertical markets
• Build and expand a strong pipeline of new and strategic customer relationships
• Own and deliver high-impact commercial messaging and value proposition positioning
• Develop deep market insight across your region, leveraging industry knowledge and networks
• Engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including procurement leaders and C-suite decision makers
• Build and maintain a structured CRM pipeline with clear forecasting and strategic planning
• Identify customer needs quickly and align them with tailored commercial solutions
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to support long-term account development
• Act as a senior representative of the business, setting standards for performance and professionalism
What We’re Looking For
• Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth in electronic components or semiconductor markets
• Strong experience in franchised distribution, independent distribution, or supplier-side sales
• Established network across APAC electronics or high-reliability industries
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence at senior leadership level
• Experience working in fast-paced, remote or international sales environments
• Highly organised with strong CRM and pipeline management capability
Skills & Competencies
• Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills
• Strong presentation and communication abilities (written and verbal)
• Comfortable working across multi-cultural, international environments
• Strategic thinker with a strong execution mindset
• Experience with structured sales methodologies (e.g. Challenger, Sandler, Miller Heiman) advantageous
• Fluent business English required (additional regional language skills beneficial)
Requirements
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently across APAC (30%+)
• Valid passport and ability to undertake international travel
• Driving licence (for local market engagement where required)
