We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our expanding European operations based in Amsterdam. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and enjoys building strong supplier relationships while ensuring the smooth flow of high-value electronic components and materials.


About the Role

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing electronic components and related materials from a wide network of suppliers. You’ll work closely with internal teams across logistics, sales, and quality to ensure timely, compliant and cost-effective procurement. This role requires strong commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and exceptional communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure electronic components and materials from approved and new suppliers

  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms and contract conditions

  • Maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to support business needs

  • Evaluate and compare supplier quotes to ensure best-value purchasing decisions

  • Work closely with quality teams to resolve issues related to incoming materials

  • Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery

  • Monitor market trends, component availability and industry fluctuations

  • Collaborate with logistics on shipment planning, customs documentation and import/export requirements

  • Maintain accurate records in procurement and inventory systems

  • Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects


What You Bring

  • Experience in procurement, buying or supply chain—ideally within electronics or technology sectors

  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen

  • Ability to work confidently with international suppliers and stakeholders

  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

  • Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage

  • Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
