Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)
Overview
A global semiconductor manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician to support high-volume wafer fabrication operations on a night shift schedule. This role is well suited to a technically skilled professional who is adaptable, dependable, and motivated to continue developing within a dynamic semiconductor manufacturing environment.
This is a non-exempt position working a compressed workweek on night shift (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday, 6:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.). The role is based in a factory setting and requires working in a cleanroom environment, including the use of cleanroom attire, personal protective equipment (PPE), and potential exposure to hazardous processing materials.
Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment

Partner with manufacturing leadership to prioritize and execute maintenance activities

Collaborate with peers, supervisors, and engineering teams to identify root causes of equipment issues and implement corrective actions to improve equipment uptime and production performance

Work with vendors, field service engineers, and technical representatives; participate in training, seminars, or vendor-led courses as required

Participate in shift handover meetings and communicate equipment status, issues, and completed work

Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities
Qualifications

Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience required

Minimum of four years of hands-on equipment maintenance experience in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment

Direct experience working on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment strongly preferred

Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to process improvements through structured problem-solving and standardization

Solid professional soft skills with excellent written and verbal communication; fluency in English required

Comfortable navigating and operating computer systems; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is a plus

Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities in a production-driven environment

Self-directed with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting
Physical & Safety Requirements

Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12 hours per shift

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

Capability to perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting during equipment maintenance

Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE when working around hazardous materials
