Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician
Overview
A global semiconductor manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician to support high-volume wafer fabrication operations. This role is ideal for a technically capable, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is eager to continue developing their skills within the semiconductor industry.
This is a non-exempt position working a compressed workweek on a day shift schedule (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.). The role is based in a factory setting and requires working in a cleanroom environment, including the use of cleanroom attire, personal protective equipment (PPE), and potential exposure to hazardous processing materials.
Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment

Partner closely with manufacturing leadership to prioritize and execute maintenance tasks

Collaborate with peers, supervisors, and engineering teams to identify root causes of equipment issues and implement continuous improvements to maximize equipment availability

Interface with vendors, field service engineers, and technical representatives; attend training sessions, seminars, or vendor-led courses as required

Participate in shift handover meetings and clearly communicate daily activities and equipment status

Accurately document all maintenance activities and equipment work performed
Qualifications

Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience required (exceptions may be considered for highly experienced industry technicians)

Minimum of two years of hands-on equipment maintenance experience in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment, including photolithography

Experience with photo MT replacement; specific experience with TEL and C&D equipment strongly preferred

Direct experience working on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment

Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, drive process improvements, and work toward standardized methods

Solid professional soft skills with excellent written and verbal communication; fluency in English required

Comfortable using computers and basic Microsoft Office applications

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a production-driven environment

Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting
Physical & Safety Requirements

Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12 hours per shift

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

Capability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting during equipment maintenance

Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE when handling or working around hazardous materials

Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures
Preferred Tool Experience
While candidates with experience across various toolsets are encouraged to apply, priority will be given to technicians with photolithography equipment experience, particularly with TEL ACT8 and C&D track systems.
