EU Energy Efficiency and Environmental Standards Expert - Fully remote contract
A leading consumer technology company is seeking an expert to support compliance and innovation around EU energy efficiency and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and analyze EU regulatory developments, assess impacts on consumer electronics (wearables, tablets, smartphones, etc.), and develop proactive response strategies.

Collaborate with industry partners to align technical positions and advocate for balanced regulations.

Represent the company in EU standardization bodies (CEN/CLC), contribute to standards development, and promote product-specific technical features.

Provide forward-looking policy insights to support smooth market entry and ongoing compliance across Europe.
What You Bring:

10+ years' experience in EU policy analysis, regulatory compliance, and standardization in energy efficiency and environmental fields.

Strong knowledge of EU frameworks like ESPR, WEEE, PPWR, and circular economy regulations.

Hands-on experience with CEN/CLC standardization work and EU industry association engagement.

Expertise in consumer electronics and the ability to produce high-quality regulatory analysis.

Fluent in English, with excellent communication and risk assessment skills.
