MRL Consulting Group is supporting a fast-growing semiconductor company in their search for a Field Applications Engineer to drive customer success and technical excellence across Europe. This is a key role at the intersection of engineering, sales, and R&D, with a focus on supporting design wins, driving product adoption, and expanding customer engagement in automotive and industrial markets.
About the Role
As a technical liaison between customers, distribution partners, and internal engineering teams, you’ll play a central role in shaping product success across the region. You will be the technical point of contact for strategic accounts, providing support during the design phase, gathering feedback to inform product roadmaps, and strengthening relationships across the sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary technical interface for customers, bridging communication with field sales, R&D, and applications engineering teams

Provide in-depth design support, including schematic and PCB layout reviews, IC debugging, and system-level recommendations

Leverage customer feedback to guide New Product Introductions (NPIs) and influence product strategy

Lead internal reviews on design pipeline and customer engagement progress

Expand key account reach through focused support and technical presentations

Coordinate and deliver technical training sessions for distributor FAEs, sales teams, and customers

Track and support design win activity in close coordination with sales, ensuring CRM accuracy and quarterly forecasting alignment

Deliver bi-weekly updates to leadership and product development teams, providing field insights to shape roadmap priorities
Candidate Profile
-
B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; MSEE preferred

At least 5 years of experience in Field Applications Engineering or 10+ years in a related technical role

Proven experience in power management design
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience working with automotive or industrial customers is preferred

Willingness to travel globally as required
