Field Applications Engineer
Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our electronic sales team. The individual will provide expert technical support to North America East Coast electronic customers, driving New Business Opportunities (NBOs) and design wins with Key and Emerging Customers. Working closely with sales and engineering teams, the FAE will ensure seamless customer support and promote the adoption of the company’s product portfolio.
About the Job:
- Collaborate with customers at the product concept and design stage to facilitate successful design-in of products.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and sales representatives, uncovering new application opportunities.
- Coordinate product qualifications efficiently with Factory, Engineering, Quality, and Sales teams.
- Conduct product application seminars and training sessions for key customers, sales representatives, and distributors.
- Maintain and update NBO and Top Opportunities reports on a monthly basis.
- Plan and coordinate regional customer visits in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager.
- Work with Quality Assurance teams to provide timely and accurate responses to product quality inquiries.
- Provide technical feedback to Product Marketing and Engineering teams regarding customer application needs for new product development.
- Deliver internal training as required and participate in monthly conference calls with Product Marketing and regional management teams.
About You:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, customer interfacing, and electronics test lab practices; semiconductor industry experience preferred.
- Technical knowledge of Circuit Protection, Temperature, and Magnetic Sensors is a strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting effectively with customers via phone, email, and in-person.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Windows applications.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 33% but up to 50%, within North America.
