Applications Engineer – Power Management Semiconductors

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support key customers across the GPU, high-performance computing (HPC) and computing markets in North America.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong, customer-focused engineer with experience in semiconductor applications and power management. Working closely with customers and internal engineering, sales and product teams, you will help develop innovative solutions, identify new business opportunities and drive designs from initial concept through to successful revenue generation.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and a commercial mindset, building trusted relationships with customers while helping deliver tailored semiconductor solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical applications support to strategic customers across the GPU, HPC and computing markets.

• Develop and execute account strategies in collaboration with sales teams to identify growth opportunities and drive revenue.

• Build strong relationships with customers and distribution partners, providing timely and effective responses to technical enquiries, pricing requests and sample requirements.

• Identify and develop new design-in opportunities, supporting customers throughout the product development and adoption process.

• Work closely with customers and internal product teams to develop tailored, custom and semi-custom semiconductor solutions.

• Collaborate with Field Applications Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams to deliver effective technical and commercial solutions.

• Develop a strong understanding of power management products and their applications within customer systems.

• Provide technical and commercial input into internal sales reviews, account planning and management meetings.

• Support the progression of customer opportunities from initial technical engagement through design wins and revenue generation.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a customer-facing Applications Engineering or Field Applications Engineering role within the semiconductor industry.

• Strong understanding of power management semiconductors and their applications.

• Experience supporting customers in computing, GPU, HPC or related markets would be advantageous.

• Proven ability to work directly with customers to identify technical requirements and develop appropriate solutions.

• Experience supporting design-in opportunities and driving projects from initial engagement through to production.

• Strong communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills.

• A commercial mindset, with the ability to recognise opportunities and contribute to account growth.

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, sales and product management teams.
