Finance Accountant 
Support the growth of a high-impact biopharma start-up 


What You’ll Do

  • Accounting Operations: Take care of day-to-day accounting including data entry, processing purchase invoices, reconciling bank and credit card statements, fixed asset accounting, expense reports, and following up on overdue receivables.

  • Tax Compliance: Handle monthly VAT filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.

  • Reporting: Prepare clear and timely financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Purchase Order Oversight: Ensure correct application of the 3-way match principle—linking purchase orders, warehouse receipts, and supplier invoices—to support financial accuracy.

  • Inbox Management: Monitor and manage the finance mailbox, ensuring timely responses and actions.

  • Inventory Tracking: Help monitor stock levels, keep records up to date, and participate in regular stock counts.

  • ERP Support: Assist with improvements and customizations in our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central), ensuring it meets operational needs.

  • Process Development: Help streamline and document financial and administrative processes to drive efficiency and clarity.

  • General Administration: Support a variety of daily and end-to-end administrative tasks that keep the business running smoothly.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with administrative teammates and provide backup when needed to ensure continuous and cohesive support across departments.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a financial or accounting role.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Navision is a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., pharma, biotech, or nuclear) is a bonus.

  • Clear communicator in English and ideally Dutch (French is a plus).

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
