This position is responsible for building and maintaining a robust financial reporting structure, providing leadership with clear visibility into key business metrics such as cost of manufacture, cost of quality, and plant operating costs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting and finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive financial reporting structure that delivers timely, accurate, and actionable information to senior management.
- Design and maintain management dashboards tracking key cost drivers, including cost of manufacture, cost of quality, plant operating expenses, and overheads.
- Partner with department heads to analyze performance metrics, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and present financial statements, variance analyses, and performance reports to senior leadership.
- Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
- Review and enhance internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial systems to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial guidance to support strategic decision-making, capital investments, and business planning.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- CPA designation (or equivalent) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA considered an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to cost accounting and inventory management preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven ability to build and implement reporting tools and data structures for business analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
