General Manager / Managing Director — US
You'll start by leading through influence — pulling together commercial, service and delivery resources that currently sit elsewhere in the group. From there, the mandate is to lead the dedicated US entity and expand the local team around it: sales, aftermarket, service, delivery and, in time, product development. Few general management roles in this sector offer a genuine blank sheet with an established balance sheet behind it.

Build the business, don't just run it
An established global manufacturer of semiconductor capital equipment is putting a senior leader on the ground in the US for the first time. The market is there, the customers are there, and the group's technology is already proven worldwide. What doesn't exist yet is a US leader. That's the job. You'll start by leading through influence — pulling together commercial, service and delivery resources that currently sit elsewhere in the group. From there, the mandate is to lead the dedicated US entity and expand the local team around it: sales, aftermarket, service, delivery and, in time, product development. What you'll own
- Full P&L accountability for the US business — revenue, profitability and growth
- The build-out itself: local entity, footprint, warehousing, service capability and the people to run it
- System and aftermarket sales, and the customer and partner relationships that drive them
- A seat on the Divisional Management Team, shaping global strategy rather than just executing it
- The company's reputation with US customers, partners and the wider semiconductor industry
What you'll bring
- A track record in general management or senior commercial leadership in a B2B technology business
- Experience delivering results in an international matrix — including where you don't hold the line authority
- Real ownership of budgets, forecasting and operational performance
- Credibility with senior customers, from the executive suite to the fab floor
- Background in semiconductor, electronics, automation or comparable high-tech capital equipment
- A degree in business, engineering or technology, or the experience to match
Why now
US semiconductor investment and supply-chain reshoring have made this market a priority for the group. The decision to invest is made and the backing is committed — what's needed is someone to join and grow the existing business on the ground. Expect a role that is equal parts strategic and hands-on for the first couple of years.#LI-HL1
