About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Internal Sales Representative to join an established manufacturing organization located near Oshawa. This role supports sales operations by managing customer inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and coordinating with production and technical teams to deliver excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to inbound customer inquiries by phone and email; provide product information, pricing, and lead-time estimates.
- Generate leads and sales opportunities for the broader sales team
- Prepare, issue, and follow up on sales quotations and proposals.
- Enter and process sales orders; track order status through to shipment and delivery.
- Maintain and update CRM records and sales documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with engineering/technical and production teams to verify specifications and resolve technical questions.
- Assist outside sales representatives with account management, proposals, and customer follow-up.
- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Handle customer service issues and post-sale support to maintain client satisfaction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal sales processes and communication.
- Post-secondary education in business, sales, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 1+ years’ experience in internal sales, customer service, or order-processing — experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional telephone manner.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using CRM systems.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Technical aptitude and comfort reading basic product specifications or drawings is a plus.
- Team player who can also work independently and use good judgment under pressure.
