Purchasing Lead – Electronics / Supply Chain

Location: Singapore

We’re partnering with a global organisation within the electronics supply chain sector to hire a Purchasing Lead to support and develop a team of Buyers in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

This is a key role focused on driving day-to-day execution while also influencing sourcing strategy, supplier engagement, and overall team performance across the region.

The Role

Working closely with the Purchasing Manager, you’ll oversee daily buying activity and act as a point of escalation and support for the team, ensuring strong commercial outcomes and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting a team of Buyers to deliver against cost, quality, and delivery targets

  • Managing workload allocation and ensuring priorities are aligned to business needs

  • Guiding negotiation strategies to achieve competitive pricing and strong supplier terms

  • Monitoring performance metrics such as delivery timelines, backlog, and order completion

  • Partnering closely with Sales teams on key opportunities and customer requirements

  • Identifying sourcing opportunities across approved suppliers and channels

  • Driving continuous improvement across procurement processes and team capability

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement (electronics industry experience preferred)

  • Previous team leadership or mentoring experience

  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial mindset

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, target-driven environment

  • Confident communicator, comfortable working across regional and global teams

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
