Quality Engineer

Location: North Sweden
Contract length: 12 months initially, very likely to extend

We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to support the development and delivery of quality practices across a large-scale industrial project. This role offers hands-on exposure to a complex, live environment, making it ideal for someone who wants to deepen their expertise while contributing to a high-impact build.

You’ll be involved in shaping how quality is defined, applied, and continuously improved across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

What you’ll be doing

Quality Framework Support
You’ll contribute to the development, rollout, and refinement of quality processes across the project, ensuring consistency and clarity in how quality is managed.

Site & Supply Chain Oversight
You’ll take part in audits, inspections, and reviews both on-site and across supplier and contractor locations, helping verify that work meets required standards.

Contractor Quality Assurance
You’ll support the implementation and monitoring of contractor quality systems, ensuring alignment with project expectations and regulatory requirements.

Workshops & Reviews
You’ll help facilitate quality-focused meetings, workshops, and technical discussions, contributing to continuous improvement and issue resolution.

Data & Reporting
You’ll assist in gathering and analysing quality-related data, supporting reporting and identifying trends or areas for improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
You’ll work closely with teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to embed strong quality practices throughout the project lifecycle.

External Coordination
You’ll liaise with contractor representatives and, where needed, third-party inspection bodies to coordinate quality activities and ensure alignment.

What we’re looking for

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Around 8–10 years’ experience in a quality-related role (industrial project experience advantageous)
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions and understand engineering concepts from first principles
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and general digital tools

Why this role stands out

This is a chance to step into a project where quality isn’t static, it’s being actively built, tested, and refined in real time. You’ll see the direct impact of your work across the full delivery chain, from supplier to site to final commissioning.
