RF/Mixed Signal IC Design Staff Engineer | MRL Consulting

Team and Role Overview
 

We are looking for hands-on senior engineers with mixed-signal chip design experience. You should have a track record of chip tapeout, innovation and an interest in working in a dynamic and fast-paced startup.
 

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong background in analog-mixed circuit design and circuit analysis, especially in wireless communications
• Working knowledge of integration of analog IPs into SOCs, including verification
• Experience taping out multiple RF ICs and owning IC designs through the entire design life cycle
• Experience recruiting and mentoring junior and experienced engineers
• Broad technical knowledge with the ability to learn quickly
• Ph.D. preferred with 2 years of experience. Exceptional candidates with Masters and 7+ years of experience may be considered.
• Must have had papers in ISSCC, JSSC, CICC and/or VLSI conference

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience using Circuit Testing equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, Signal generators, DC sources)
• Knowledge of Circuit Design software tools (e.g., Advanced Design System (ADS), LT Spice etc.)
• Excellent board-level and firmware debug skills
• Experience using PCB design software (Eagle, Altium Designer, OrCAD)
• Knowledge of test automation, using scripting languages (e.g., Python and LabVIEW)
• Knowledge of different wireless communication circuits is a plus
• Outstanding communication and documentation skills

Location

The position is based in our West Lafayette, IN office. We have multiple positions open at different experience levels starting from fresh PhD to 10+ year industry experience.
