We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Planner to take ownership of wafer start planning within a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.

This role is central to ensuring customer demand is translated into production plans, while optimising fab capacity, cycle time and delivery performance. It requires a strong understanding of wafer fabrication processes, confident data analysis and the ability to work cross-functionally across global organisations.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and maintaining wafer start plans aligned to demand forecasts and capacity

• Analysing capacity loading and identifying production bottlenecks

• Proposing solutions to improve utilisation and reduce cycle time

• Aligning production schedules with equipment availability and operational constraints

• Translating customer requirements into actionable production plans

• Monitoring demand fluctuations and adjusting plans to mitigate shortages or excess inventory

• Tracking wafer starts, work-in-process and cycle time performance

• Providing regular planning and performance reporting to management

• Using SAP and advanced planning tools to maintain accurate data and drive insight

• Identifying opportunities to improve planning processes and delivery performance

• Participating in cross-functional initiatives to implement best practices

You will work closely with manufacturing, procurement, sales, customer service and business planning to ensure operational alignment and service reliability.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of wafer fabrication processes and cycle time management

• Experience in wafer start or fabrication planning within the semiconductor industry

• Proficiency in SAP and advanced planning systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Clear and effective communication capability

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
