Senior Digital IC Design Engineer (Front-End) – RF Chip Development


On behalf of our client, we are recruiting a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer (Front-End) to join a cutting-edge R&D team working on next-generation RF transceivers for 4G and 5G systems.


This is a long-term opportunity to take on a technically hands-on, leadership-focused role in the development of ultra-high-speed DSP blocks and advanced digital front-end design for RF chips.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate and adapt legacy control/data path designs to meet new product needs

  • Design and verify new DSP blocks with ultra-high-speed performance

  • Collaborate with system engineers to refine specifications and optimize power trade-offs

  • Work closely with the physical design team to improve flows and implementations

  • Drive technical quality, performance, and timely delivery across the design process


Your Profile:

  • MSEE or equivalent, with 3–5+ years of industrial experience in digital front-end design

  • Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog; strong RTL design and verification skills

  • Knowledge of DFT, ATPG, OCC, CDC, and low-power UPF design techniques

  • Experience with delay-annotated gate-level simulation and simulation methodologies (UVM, coverage, assertions)

  • Familiarity with high-speed FIR DSP structures and formal verification tools is a plus

  • Skilled in SystemC, C/C++, Python, and TCL

  • Comfortable in Linux environments and MS Office for documentation

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, team-focused, and results-driven

  • Willing to relocate to the Leuven (Belgium) region
