Senior IC Design Engineer – BiCMOS / High-Speed Analogue
- Sophia-Antipolis, South of France – Office based dull time
- €100,000 base + bonus and RSUs
Are you an experienced RFIC or analog/mixed-signal IC designer looking for a role where you can tackle complex, high-frequency design challenges and make a real impact on next-generation connectivity technology?
We’re working with a leading international semiconductor business developing advanced technologies for high-speed optical and electrical communications, data centres and next-generation connectivity applications.
They're looking for a technically strong Senior RFIC Design Engineer to join an established engineering team in Sophia-Antipolis, working on demanding analogue and mixed-signal IC designs operating at frequencies of 50–100 GHz.
The opportunity
You'll take technical ownership of high-performance semiconductor design projects, working on critical circuit blocks used to transmit, receive and condition ultra-high-speed signals. Your work will contribute to technologies supporting increasingly demanding data rates across optical communications, high-performance computing and data-centre infrastructure.
This is a hands-on technical role for an engineer who enjoys solving difficult design problems, driving projects forward and working closely with experienced engineers in a well-resourced laboratory environment.
What you'll be working on
- High-frequency analogue and mixed-signal IC design.
- BiCMOS circuit design for broadband, high-speed applications.
- Circuit blocks including transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), equalisers, laser/VCSEL drivers and cable drivers.
- Electromagnetic modelling, parasitic extraction and advanced design analysis using tools such as EMX and HFSS.
- Taking designs through development, evaluation, silicon validation and product qualification.
- Providing technical direction and ownership throughout the product development cycle.
What we're looking for
- Strong experience in analogue or mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
- Recent, hands-on BiCMOS design experience.
- Experience with high-frequency design in the tens of GHz, ideally around 50–100 GHz.
- A background in RFIC or microwave, high-speed analogue design.
- Experience with relevant circuit blocks such as TIAs, equalisers, laser drivers or other high-speed communication circuits.
- A proven track record of taking IC designs through tape-out and silicon evaluation.
- Experience with EMX, HFSS or comparable electromagnetic simulation and extraction tools would be a significant advantage.
What's on offer?
- €100,000 base salary, plus an annual bonus, plus RSU’s.
- Additional long-term incentive compensation.
- The opportunity to work on advanced semiconductor technologies with real-world applications across optical communications and data-centre connectivity.
- A technically strong, collaborative engineering team with dedicated laboratory resources.
The position is office-based in Sophia-Antipolis, in the South of France.
