HPE NonStop Infrastructure Engineer
**12-month contract renewable**
We're looking for an experienced HPE NonStop Infrastructure Engineer to support one of South Africa's leading banking environments.
If you have deep expertise in HPE NonStop (Tandem) infrastructure and enjoy working on highly available, business-critical systems, we'd like to hear from you.
This is an opportunity to work on enterprise-scale infrastructure where uptime, resilience, security, and performance are non-negotiable.
Responsibilities:
•
Design, implement, and maintain HPE NonStop (Tandem) infrastructure.
•
Ensure maximum system availability across mission-critical production environments.
•
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise platform performance.
•
Manage NonStop security, patching, compliance, and system administration.
•
Support Enscribe databases, backups, replication, and disaster recovery.
•
Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Expand.
•
Develop automation using TACL, TAL, and scripting tools.
•
Support networking, middleware, and system integrations.
•
Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex production issues.
•
Participate in an on-call support rotation.
Requirements:
•
8+ years supporting HPE NonStop (Tandem) environments.
•
Strong Guardian and OSS administration experience.
•
Experience with Enscribe databases.
•
Strong knowledge of:
•
TACL
•
TAL
•
SCF
•
NSKCOM
•
Safeguard
•
XYGATE
•
Prognosis
•
Expand
•
GoldenGate
•
Experience with SSL/TLS security.
•
Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery and High Availability.
•
Infrastructure monitoring and performance tuning experience.
•
Scripting and automation experience.
•
Experience supporting 24/7 production environments.
