Senior Engineer — Instrumentation & Controls, Global Facilities
The Opportunity
As Senior Engineer for Instrumentation & Controls, you will provide engineering ownership and technical leadership across the full lifecycle of critical facility systems — including Life Safety Systems, Toxic Gas Monitoring (TGM), SCADA, I&C, IoT/Digitalization, Telecom, and Security systems — for advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities across a global network.You will partner with cross-functional teams spanning Manufacturing, IT, Procurement, Construction, and Operations to ensure facility systems are reliable, efficient, scalable, and aligned with global engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, construction, and operations of semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure including Life Safety, TGM, SCADA, I&C, IoT, Telecom, and Security systems across a global facility network.
- Manage large-scale projects — including U.S. greenfield FAB programmes — with a focus on engineering innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Manufacturing, IT, Procurement, Construction, O&M, and other teams to ensure project alignment and execution.
- Ensure facility systems are reliable, efficient, scalable, and aligned with global engineering standards and strategic objectives.
- Implement standard methodologies and guidelines across global sites for construction, development, and operations.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout the full project lifecycle — from concept and design through commissioning and operations.
- Benchmark best practices and Best Known Methods (BKM) across internal and external sites, driving continuous improvement.
- Integrate sustainability principles into facility design and operations in support of corporate environmental goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience in Facility I&C/ELV design and engineering for semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech industries.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 15–25% of the time — non-negotiable requirement.
- Proven ability to plan, drive, and complete complex projects effectively.
- Proven skills in working effectively with team members across different subject areas and disciplines.
