We are recruiting on behalf of an established international lighting manufacturer seeking a Senior Specification Manager to lead its growth and specification strategy in the Netherlands. This is a key strategic role focused on driving project specifications through strong relationships with engineering firms, architects, designers, and installers. Reporting directly to the International Sales Director, this position offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact in shaping the company’s regional success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop specification opportunities for the company’s lighting solutions within the Dutch market.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key specifiers including architects, engineers, lighting designers, and installers.

  • Deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations tailored to client needs.

  • Support project development using lighting design tools such as DIALux, Relux, or equivalent.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and the International Sales Director to define and implement local market strategies.

  • Regularly report on project pipelines, market insights, and progress.

  • Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and professional forums.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the lighting industry, with a focus on project specification.

  • Proven background working with installers, engineering consultancies, architects, and interior designers.

  • Technical qualification (degree or vocational training) in engineering, lighting, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in lighting design software such as DIALux or Relux.

  • Self-motivated, structured, and results-oriented with strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Fluent in Dutch; English proficiency is an advantage.
