Analog Design Manager – Power Management ICs
We are looking for an experienced analog IC designer to lead a small to medium-sized team developing power management ICs. This role combines technical leadership, hands-on design and team development, with responsibility for taking products from specification through to silicon validation and production.
We welcome applications from established design managers and senior or principal engineers who have led projects, mentored colleagues or acted as a technical lead and are ready to take on broader team responsibility.
The role
You will guide the design and development of power management ICs
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Leading and mentoring analog design engineers, balancing technical delivery with their development.
-
Defining IC architectures and translating product requirements into design specifications.
-
Contributing to circuit design, simulation and verification, while providing technical direction across projects.
-
Reviewing designs and resolving challenges relating to efficiency, stability, transient response, accuracy and protection.
-
Planning resources, setting priorities and managing design milestones.
-
Working closely with layout, applications, validation, test and product engineering teams.
-
Supporting silicon bring-up, characterisation, debugging and improvements through to production.
Your background
-
Strong experience in transistor-level analog IC design for power management applications.
-
A sound understanding of analog building blocks, feedback and control loops, compensation, current sensing and protection circuits.
-
Experience taking IC designs through simulation, layout review and silicon evaluation.
-
Evidence of technical leadership, whether through managing a team, leading design projects or mentoring other engineers.
-
The ability to make clear technical decisions, communicate priorities and work effectively across engineering disciplines.
-
A degree in electronic engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience across every product area is not required. We are interested in depth of design expertise, sound engineering judgement and the ability to help a team deliver.
This position offers the opportunity to influence product architecture, develop a design team and retain meaningful involvement in technical work. It would suit an experienced manager who enjoys staying close to design, or a senior or principal engineer looking to progress into team leadership.
