We are looking for multiple Design Engineers to join a highly innovative engineering team working on cutting-edge technology projects. We are looking for a highly capable, enthusiastic, and personable individual to join the team. We are specifically seeking a Design Engineer with 4+ years of relevant industry experience to contribute to the development of advanced hardware solutions, with a broad skillset and the ability to work across IP, system, and board-level development.
This is a hands-on role that will play an important part in the continued growth of the engineering team and its product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Flexibly apply skills and expertise to enable successful delivery at a project level
- Collaborate with colleagues on the architecture, design, development, verification, and documentation of IP
- Develop RTL implementations of electronic systems for communications using SystemVerilog
- Develop testbenches for RTL implementations of electronic systems for communications using SystemVerilog
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent)
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with EDA tools for simulation and synthesis, such as Mentor Graphics ModelSim, Altera Quartus, Xilinx Vivado, Synopsys DC, or Cadence Genus
- Experience with AXI interfacing
- Experience with timing and hardware resource optimisation for high-throughput data or signal-processing applications
- Experience using C/C++/MATLAB for design and verification prototyping
- Experience with version control and peer review, e.g. Git
- Experience with technical documentation tools, e.g. Confluence
- Experience with project and task management tools, e.g. Jira
Desirable:
- Experience maintaining EDA tools, including upgrades and licence management
- Experience creating innovative engineering solutions and documenting them through publications or patents
- Experience with automation and CI tools, e.g. Jenkins
- Knowledge of communications signal-processing algorithms, ideally including error correction, equalisation, channel estimation, beamforming, or another baseband component
- Appreciation of mobile communications systems
- Understanding of the telecommunications and/or semiconductor industries
