Senior Engineer — Gas Systems, Global Facilities

The Opportunity
As Senior Gas Systems Engineer, you will lead the design, planning, and support of cryogenic bulk and specialty gas systems across the company's global manufacturing network — ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant infrastructure to support advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
You will collaborate across design, construction, operations, and maintenance teams globally, with the opportunity to shape how gas infrastructure is designed and delivered on some of the most technically demanding semiconductor facilities being built today.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain cryogenic bulk and specialty gas systems for safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across global manufacturing sites.
  • Develop and manage specifications, standards, and record drawings for gas systems infrastructure.
  • Ensure designs comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory codes applicable to high-purity gas systems (NFPA, CGA, SEMI standards and equivalents).
  • Assist with planning for future capacity needs and scenario analysis at global sites.
  • Review and advise on infrastructure modifications and assess system impacts across the network.
  • Provide engineering oversight during design, construction, and startup phases of gas system installations.
  • Lead technical problem-solving and risk mitigation efforts across global projects.
  • Maintain and continuously improve corporate facility standards and protocols for gas systems.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-purity bulk and/or specialty gas systems.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills across complex, multi-site programmes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities — comfortable working with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments — direct fab exposure is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with FMEA and HAZOP risk analysis methodologies for gas systems.
  • Technical leadership in vendor qualification and procurement support for gas systems equipment and supply.
