We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior AIT Test Technician to support engineering and verification activities within an advanced electronics environment.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and maintain laboratory equipment, test benches, cables, fixtures and hardware.

Assist engineers with hardware installation, troubleshooting and PCB rework.

Perform micro-soldering and component rework, including 0402/0201 passives under a microscope.

Replace specialised components including filters, crystals and oscillators.

Carry out advanced rework of QFN, QFP and BGA packages using hot air and under-board preheating.

Manage laboratory equipment, calibration and preventative maintenance schedules.

Maintain stock of electronic components, cables, connectors and consumables.

Maintain laboratory procedures, equipment registers and calibration records.

Ensure laboratory safety and ESD handling procedures are followed.
About You
-
Diploma or Certificate in Electronics or a related discipline.

Proven experience with soldering and PCB rework.

Experience working within an electronics or engineering laboratory.

Strong practical knowledge of electronic components and laboratory equipment.

Ability to assemble, test and troubleshoot electronic hardware.

Experience with micro-soldering and advanced IC rework, including QFN, QFP and BGA packages.

Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Safety-conscious, proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
