Semiconductor Equipment Engineer – Advanced Process Equipment

Location: Portland Metro Area, Oregon

Support Critical Semiconductor Manufacturing Operations

A semiconductor manufacturing organisation is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support advanced process equipment used within wafer fabrication operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining equipment performance, improving reliability and supporting manufacturing efficiency across highly specialised process areas.

About the Role

This position offers a balance of hands-on engineering, project leadership and continuous improvement responsibilities.

Working alongside manufacturing, process and maintenance teams, you will help ensure equipment capability supports both current production requirements and future growth plans.

Responsibilities

  • Drive equipment reliability and uptime improvements.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies.

  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Support installation and qualification of new manufacturing equipment.

  • Lead improvement projects focused on performance and operational efficiency.

  • Create technical documentation and maintenance procedures.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance personnel.

  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to achieve manufacturing objectives.

Ideal Background

  • Semiconductor equipment engineering experience.

  • Strong electrical, mechanical and systems troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience supporting complex manufacturing equipment.

  • Ability to analyse technical documentation and engineering drawings.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Degree-qualified engineer or equivalent technical background.
